Gerbera daisies..Q?

Gerbera daisies..Q?
They hold up fine, just make sure they are some of the last things you put out when decorating. Also, use cold water in the vaces and get some of those packets of fresh flower stuff to mix in the water. Be sure that the stems are cut under running water and at an angle. They should hold up fine unless some deranged 3 year old chews on them :)
Reply:I've chosen gerbera daisies for my forth coming wedding. We are having hot pink and orange! The table arrangements will be square vases filled with them, not too tall, so the heads rest near the top of the vase.
Reply:They are fine as long as the florist uses that plastic 'straw' thing over the stem to hold them upright (you can barely see it).
Reply:I'm much like Ali V, I too am using square vases except I'm filling them with pale pink Gerberas. As longs as you keep them in the fridge, and put them in last, they should be fine.
Reply:they'll be fine as long as they're fresh, we had them for our engagement with coloured water in vases
