Why won't my Gerbera Daisies produce more blooms?

I got some potted Gerbera Daisies about a month ago, %26amp; transplanted them into some nice larger hanging baskets. They seem to be doing well, producing new leaves, etc, but as their original blossoms began to fade, they aren't producing new ones. Their foliage looks healthy, but just no new flowers. I thought they were supposed to continue to bloom all spring %26amp; summer? I have them in nice fertilized soil, %26amp; have followed their directions for watering %26amp; sun (I only water them when their soil no longer feels damp under the surface, %26amp; they are in a spot that has full sun in the morning %26amp; early afternoon) Any suggestions?

Why won't my Gerbera Daisies produce more blooms?
If you re-potted them into a much larger pot the previously, they may be using all of their energy to grow roots and fill the pot instead of blooming. It depends on if they like to be root-bound or not but that can usually be a reason that a plant is not blooming during season. Wait till next year!
Reply:Make sure you're "deadheading"....pinching off the spent blooms. This encourages new blooms. Also, your plants need to be fed every 2 weeks using a combination of plant food and epsom salts (1 tablespoon of each per 1 gallon of water).
