Can a gerbera daisy be dyed blue?

Or are there any pretty blue colored flowers that would be in season for an october wedding. Are hydrandras in season?

Can a gerbera daisy be dyed blue?
I use to dye carnations by just cutting the stems %26amp; putting them in food color %26amp; water it takes a couple days for them to turn..any white flower can be dyed. here is a site that tells of all blue flowers but they are different shades

Reply:Any white flower can be dyed blue. What you can do is when you're planting the flower put some copper sulfate in the ground around it. I have a friend whose mother planted a copper pipe in the ground instead. It gave the flower blue tips.
Reply:There are spray on dyes used on flowers. You can tint a white flower by placing it in water that has the desired hue of food coloring in it.
Reply:Thanks to hothouses you can get pretty much any flower you want. I have seen Gerber Daisies dyed blue.
